FRUIT COBBLER

fruit (such as sliced peaches or frozen blackberries)
white sugar

baking powder -- kabartma tozu

  1. Turn on oven.
  2. In a bowl, put the fruit. Add 1/2 cup sugar. Set aside.
  3. In pan, chop the butter into blocks. Melt in oven.
  4. While butter is melting, mix all other ingredients. Batter should be lumpy, but not too thick or thin.
  5. Stir sugar and fruit in bowl.
  6. Pull out pan with butter. Butter should be melted to a liquid, evenly over the length of the pan. Pour batter evenly over butter, but do not stir. Then, scoop fruit over batter, but do not stir.
  7. Bake, checking at 30 minutes. It usually takes 35 minutes. Batter should be a golden brown.
NOTE: Cobbler can be served with ice cream.
